Adding, Editing & Deleting

Adding Events

  1. Once in the Pure Church admin area, select Events in the sidebar.
  2. Select Add New.
  3. Enter a Title.
  4. Enter a description in the text box (if desired).
  5. Enter the Time and Date. If this is an All Day Event, tick the box.
  6. Enter or select a Location (if desired).
  7. Enter Organizer information (if desired).
  8. Enter an optional Event website URL (if desired).
  9. Enter the Event cost details (if desired).
  10. Scroll back up to the top and enter any Tags for the event in the right sidebar (if desired). These may be helpful in an event search.
  11. Select an Event Category from the options. You may select several.
  12. Select from the Event Options.
    a. Hide from Event Listings is helpful if you want to offer the event by URL only.
    b. Sticky in Month View will list this event first when several events are on the same day. 
    c. Feature Event will add some styling to the event for all formats and display the Featured Image on month view. 
  13. Add a Featured Image (highly recommended). This is the image that will appear next to the event.
  14. Scroll to the top of the page and click Publish in the right sidebar.

Editing Events

  1. Once in the Pure Church admin area, select Events in the sidebar.
  2. Select All Events.
  3. Select the event you want to edit.
  4. Make your changes.
  5. Scroll to the top of the page and click Update in the right sidebar.

Deleting Events

There are several ways to delete events.

  1. Once in the Pure Church admin area, select Events in the sidebar.
  2. Select All Events.
  3. Select the event you want to delete.
  4. Scroll to the top of the page and select Move to Trash in the right sidebar. This should be in red lettering.

Alternatively, you can move events to the trash from the All Events page.

  1. Once in the Pure Church admin area, select Events in the sidebar.
  2. Select All Events.
  3. Hover over the Events you want to delete and select Trash.

You can bulk edit events and move multiple events to the trash at once.

  1. Once in the Pure Church admin area, select Events in the sidebar.
  2. Select All Events.
  3. Check the box next to each Event you want to delete.
  4. Scroll to the top and click Bulk Actions. Select the Move to Trash option.
  5. Click Apply to move all selected Events to the Trash.
